China is one of the most dynamic growth markets in international tourism and, as such, represents an important area for the future development of vocational education and training in hospitality. Since 2025, SHL Schweizerische Hotelfachschule Luzern has maintained a strategic partnership with CieCAS (Center of Innovative & Entrepreneurial Culinary Arts & Services) in Shanghai, which serves as SHL’s regional hub in China. The partnership promotes professional exchange and educational collaboration between Switzerland and China in the field of practice-oriented hospitality education. At its core is the promotion of Swiss values in vocational education and training, particularly the close integration of theory and practice in line with the dual education system, as well as the partners’ joint positioning as a bridge between the Swiss education system and China’s hospitality sector.
